Session 4 (July 2026) Scent Work Foundation class is Full
The class will introduce dogs and handlers to the sport of AKC Scent Work. Dogs will be introduced to the initial odor of Birch and learn to search for it through interactive games and exercises, engaging their mind and building their confidence. Handlers will learn about odor theory, handling techniques and how to read their dogs. Teams will learn a solid foundation that allow them to enjoy this sport for fun; or get started in competitive scent work.
The Scent Work classes are progressive (meaning the dog learns in each exercise what is needed for the next); so one dog/one handler.
Note: Dogs that have taken this class previously are not eligible to repeat the class.
Admission Criteria: Completion of our beginning obedience class (Beginner 1) or CGC title, or with Instructor approval. Perfect for all dogs, including pups 6+ months of age and senior dogs. Dogs with SW titles or those who have taken this class previously are not eligible.
